  • Welcome to Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf Islands

Charlotte Harbor is a pristine 126 square mile body of water leading out to the Gulf of Mexico and is the gem of the area. It stands today as one of the very last unspoiled natural wonders on the west coast of Florida.

The area is graced with a chain of post-card perfect barrier islands and beaches and has a reputation for some of the finest fishing in America.

In fact settlement of the area in the late 19th century was based on it’s abundant fishing resources and took the form of small fishing villages dotting the coast. That abundance continues to generously provide area sportsman with the food and game fish which populate our beautiful coves and bays.

Southwest Florida appeals instantly to individuals and of course families seeking a coastal small town resort atmosphere. How delightful that in spite of Charlotte Harbor’s natural beauty, beaches, exceptional golf courses and access to a multitude of water sports and recreational pursuits the area has gone relatively unnoticed.

We sincerely hope you will allow us the privilege and ‘guilty pleasure’ of helping you learn about our part of Florida. This discovery process is an endless source of delight for us as those new to the area express their appreciation for this peaceful and friendly place filled with natural wonders and unique lifestyle opportunities.
